Musulmans, chrétiens et juifs des Etats-Unis vivent en ce mois sacré de Ramadan des moments de partage et d entente mutuelle grâce aux cérémonies "Iftar" (rupture du jeûne), initiées par des associations socioculturelles marocaines aux USA avec le concours de la représentation de la compagnie aérienne nationale "Royal Air Maroc" (RAM) à New York.

Les réceptions "Iftar" organisées, dimanche à Silver Spring (Maryland) et à Houston (Texas), respectivement par le Club marocain de Washington et l'Alliance marocaine d'Houston , ont inauguré les vingt cérémonies de rupture du jeûne programmées par leurs initiateurs dans plusieurs villes américaines.

Lors de la soirée "Ifatr" offerte par le Club marocain de Washington au restaurant "Taste of Morocco" en l'honneur des convives de confessions musulmane, chrétienne et judaïque, Hassan Khantach, chargé des affaires consulaires à l'ambassade du Maroc à Washington, a souligné que le rassemblement des représentants des différentes religions autour de ce repas "Iftar" à la marocaine a pour objectif l'explication de l'Islam et l'échange d'idées et de connaissances sur les traditions culturelles et religieuses et l'encouragement du dialogue interconfessionnel et interculturel. "Le Maroc a besoin plus que jamais du soutien inconditionnel de la diaspora marocaine, spécialement en cette conjoncture actuelle ponctuée par des réformes structurelles à tous les niveaux, par la stratégie de l'Initiative nationale pour le développement humain (INDH) et les défis qu'affronte la juste cause nationale du pays", a-t-il dit. La diaspora marocaine peut jouer un rôle aussi bien politique que diplomatique, a-t-il indiqué, invitant les Marocains résidant aux USA à représenter dignement leur pays et à expliquer aux Américains les changements opérés au Maroc dans divers domaines de la vie sociale, politique, juridique et économique.
