WMC : Mobilisation de la communauté marocaine aux USA pour la défense de la marocanité du Sahara

WMC : Mobilisation de la communauté marocaine aux USA pour la défense de la marocanité du Sahara
New York, 12 déc (MAP)-. Les participants au deuxième forum de la communauté marocaine aux USA, tenu samedi à New York sous le thème: "Discours de SM le Roi : Maroc unique, patrie unique et gestion unique" ont insisté sur la nécessité pour les membres de la communauté en Amérique de s'organiser au sein d'associations et d'unir leurs rangs et leurs énergies pour défendre la cause nationale du Sahara marocain auprès de la société civile et des responsables américains.
Les représentants d' associations marocaines basées dans plusieurs villes américaines, qui ont répondu à l'invitation de la Fondation Marocaine de Bienfaisance aux USA, initiatrice du forum avec le concours du consulat général du Maroc à New York, ont mis l'accent sur l'importance pour les membres actifs de la communauté de conjuguer leurs efforts et de mettre au point une stratégie commune afin de contrecarrer efficacement les manouvres tramées par les adversaires de l'intégrité territoriale nationale.
Ils ont prôné l'usage des moyens de communication modernes dont l'Internet pour éclairer l'opinion publique américaine sur la réalité historique et juridique de la marocanité du Sahara et sur les pratiques cruelles et inhumaines des séparatistes et tortionnaires du "polisario" et leurs sbires qui maintiennent en séquestration des milliers de sahraouis marocains dans les camps de Tindouf, au sud de l'Algérie.
Les participants ont insisté que les marocains naturalisés américains doivent s'impliquer impérativement dans la vie associative et politique américaine pour constituer une force de proposition et de persuasion en vue de défendre la marocanité du Sahara et l'image réelle du Maroc moderne, "pays d'ouverture, de tolérance, de démocratie et de protection des droits de l'homme et de la femme".
Les participants ont, d'autre part, salué les décisions "pertinentes" annoncées par SM le Roi Mohammed VI dans le discours de l'anniversaire de la Marche Verte, relatives au droit des MRE de voter et de se porter candidats aux élections législatives et à la création d'un conseil supérieur chargé des affaires de la communauté marocaine, assurant que ces mesures royales témoignent de "l'importance" que le Souverain accorde aux MRE et au rôle essentiel qu'ils peuvent jouer aux plans social, économique et politique pour l'essor du pays.
Evoquant, par ailleurs, l'Initiative Nationale pour le Développement Humain (INDH) lancée par SM le Roi Mohammed VI, les participants au forum ont insisté sur la participation effective de la communauté marocaine en Amérique aux efforts de développement du pays, par l'accroissement du volume des transferts des fonds et par l'investissement des capitaux en tirant profit de l'Accord de Libre Echange (ALE) conclu entre le Maroc et les USA.
Le vice consul général du Maroc aux Etats-Unis, M. Abderrahim Beyyoudh, qui a souligné la Haute Sollicitude dont le Souverain ne cesse d'entourer les MRE, a insisté sur le devoir de la communauté de représenter dignement le Maroc aux USA, de défendre sa première cause nationale, de contribuer à son expansion socio-économique et d'éduquer et instruire la génération montante pour qu'elle demeure attachée viscéralement à sa patrie d'origine et à ses valeurs et traditions.
Le président de la Fondation Marocaine de Bienfaisance aux USA, M. Mustapha Fadil a affirmé qu'il est temps pour la communauté marocaine aux USA d'unir ses rangs et de coordonner ses actions pour servir les intérêts de ses membres et contribuer à l'essor du pays.
Les autres intervenants dont Hassan Khantach, chargé des affaires consulaires à l'ambassade du Maroc à Washington, Mohammed Karmoune, membre de la mission permanente du Maroc à l'ONU, et Mohammed Salem Ammagui, représentant régional de la RAM, ont insisté sur l'organisation de la communauté marocaine au sein d'associations "crédibles", constituées dans un esprit de liberté, de démocratie et de transparence pour mieux servir ses intérêts socio-économiques et défendre les causes nationales du pays.
Les participants ont, par ailleurs, débattu la proposition de constitution d'une commission pour préparer le projet de création d'un organisme susceptible de fédérer l'ensemble du mouvement associatif des Marocains résidant aux USA.(MAP) FK---BI.
