CHILDREN’S ART CONTEST

WIN A TRIP TO MOROCCO!

 

 

 

   

 “MY MOROCCO”

2:00-4:00 PM

The Contest

 The Moroccan American Cultural Center (MACC) and the Washington Moroccan Club invite any children ages 4-12 with a Moroccan parent or grandparent to submit artwork on the theme “My Morocco”.  Kids can draw upon their personal experiences living in and visiting Morocco, or family stories or traditions that illustrate what Morocco means to them. Prizes will be awarded for the best entry in each age level.

 

In additional there will be

TWO GRAND PRIZES

First prize: Two (2) round trip tickets to Morocco

Second prize: One (1) round trip ticket to Morocco

Additional prizes include gift certificates from Utrecht Art Supply, frames from Broadway Galleries, and art supplies valued at $200!

Parents

Please RSVP to info@moroccanamericanculture.org by May 20. All submissions must be received by May 30, 2008.  Submissions are limited to one entry per child. The submission form is attached.

 Children ages 4 to 12 may participate. To qualify, art submitted should be in one of the following categories: drawing, painting, mixed media, and photography. To participate in the contest, please complete the attached submission form and email it along with a photo of the artwork in JPG format to: info@moroccanamericanculture.org.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK.  Each child will bring his or her masterpiece to the event on June 14th for display and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to participate.  The participating child will complete registration upon arrival at the Walter Reed Community Center. All artists will be recognized for their entry!
